About Me

Hello, my name is Amanda Skinner! I am a Special Education teacher and will be co-teaching with Ms. Hawkins and Mrs. McTier this year. This is my fifteenth year of teaching; eleven of those years have been spent teaching here at Maxwell Elementary! I received my B.S. Ed. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia in 2011. I am certified in Elementary Education (P-5), Special Education (P-12), and English (6-12). I am married to my wonderful husband, Ben, who is also an educator and coach. Our son, Weston, is eight years old and our daughter, Mary Benton, is five years old. They certainly keep us busy!

I am so excited for the new school year and look forward to working with my Maxwell family!!!
