Mrs. Cooper's page

Happy new school year!  My name is Tara Cooper, and I am very excited to be teaching in a resource setting this year. I currently reside in Columbia County with my husband. I have a precious daughter who is in a sonography program at Augusta Technical School. My amazing forever 17-year-old son, Wilkes lives in heaven. Also, Nike is my emotional support dog who always takes good care of me.

I have an undergraduate degree in interrelated special education and masters in curriculum and instruction. This is my first-year teaching in a resource setting, and I cannot wait to see what this school year has in store. I am extremely excited about this 2026-2027 school year working with Mrs. Brown by my side. I have the compassion and enthusiasm to help every student reach his/her goals.

I believe communication is the key to your child’s success and to have great parent/teacher relationship.  I want to ask you to become a partner with me in your child’s education and encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time.  I am looking forward to our adventures with your child.
