Meet Your Teacher: Frank Kitchens, Jr.
Hello! My name is Frank Kitchens, Jr., and I am excited to welcome you to my classroom! I am an elementary educator with 10 years of teaching experience and a passion for helping students become confident, successful learners.
I hold a Masters Degree in Elementary Education, and I am committed to creating a classroom environment where every student feels welcomed, valued, supported, and encouraged to do their best. I believe that every child can learn and grow when provided with meaningful instruction, positive encouragement, and opportunities to succeed.
As an educator, I have a strong passion for literacy and reading. I believe that reading opens the door to learning, imagination, and lifelong discovery. I enjoy sharing books with my students and creating opportunities for them to read, discuss, write, ask questions, and make connections to the world around them.
My teaching practices are grounded in evidence-based literacy instruction, including the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy. I use explicit instruction, small-group learning, differentiated activities, and engaging reading experiences to help students strengthen their skills and develop a genuine love for learning.
I also believe that learning should be engaging, meaningful, and student-centered. I strive to build positive relationships with my students and learn about their individual interests, strengths, and areas for growth. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically but also to encourage them to become responsible, confident, curious, and lifelong learners.
I am looking forward to an exciting school year filled with learning, growth, laughter, discovery, and success! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's educational journey. I look forward to partnering with families to help every student reach their fullest potential.
Welcome to my classroom!
