Dear Parents,

Happy new school year! My name is Tara Cooper and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I currently reside in Columbia County, Georgia with my husband and daughter. I have an undergraduate degree in interrelated special education and masters in curriculum and instruction. This is my thirteenth year teaching special education and have three years of paraprofessional experience in general education as well as special education. I will have two full time paraprofessionals this year, Maci McNeely and Jenna Hood. We get extremely excited about working with children with special needs and have the compassion and enthusiasm to help every student reach his/her goals. We promise to go to great lengths to teach the needs of your children. 

         I believe communication is the key to your child’s success and to have great parent/teacher relationship.  I want to ask you to become a partner with me in your child’s education and encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time.  I am looking forward to our adventures with your child and family.
